Jason Chiu, MD
Dr. Jason Chiu is a double board-certified Pain Management Specialist and Anesthesiologist, certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He completed his anesthesiology residency at Rutgers University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, and advanced fellowship training in pain management at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Chiu brings extensive expertise in minimally invasive pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and percutaneous discectomy. He is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, underscoring his commitment to excellence in patient care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Chiu has held several academic and leadership roles. He previously served as Director of the Pain Management Division and Medical Education in Anesthesiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Currently, he is a faculty member at Hoboken University Medical Center, Carewell Health Medical Center, and Hudson Regional Hospital.

Franco Rizzolo, DC, RN, BSN
Dr. Franco Rizzolo is a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Registered Nurse with active licenses in New Jersey and Georgia, as well as chiropractic licenses in New York, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Colorado. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, where he received the Ambassador Award and was inducted into the Chi-Rho Honor Fraternity. Dr. Rizzolo also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the International College of Health Sciences in Florida and is currently pursuing a Nurse Practitioner degree to further his medical expertise.
Dr. Rizzolo brings a uniquely comprehensive approach to patient care by combining his chiropractic and nursing disciplines. His expertise spans rehabilitation, pain management, and musculoskeletal health, bridging the gap between traditional medical care, physical therapy, and holistic recovery methods.
Dr. Rizzolo holds multiple professional certifications, including Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Physical Therapy Proficiency, and Certified Manipulation Under Anesthesia. He has extensive experience in sports medicine, having served as the Team Physician for the USISL Professional Soccer League's New Jersey Stallions. A former amateur bodybuilder, he also contributes to the fitness community as a registered NPC judge.
Dr. Rizzolo is a member of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC), among other professional organizations. Through his dual licensure and ongoing education, he provides integrative, evidence-based care that empowers patients to achieve optimal health and recovery.
Cris Amato, RN, MSN, RNFA, APN-C
Cris Amato is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She received her advanced degree in Nursing from Rutgers University in New Jersey in 2015. Cris also received professional training in functional medicine and nutrition. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She joined our practice with a wide range of experience in performing joint and muscle injections and sexual dysfunction regenerative procedures. At our practice, she is currently focused on performing regenerative injections, immune boosting, anti-aging medical infusions, and sexual wellness procedures. She also provides bioidentical hormone replacement, nutritional counselling, and weight and lifestyle management in the context of treating pain conditions and sexual dysfunctions. Cris joined our practice in the fall of 2022 with the same philosophical conviction of treating patients as whole persons instead of a series of symptoms.
Daniela Couto, Office Manager
Daniela Couto is our office manager. She has been with our practice for 25 years, managing the day-to-day operations. She makes sure all scheduling is coordinated well to make patients flow smoothly, including surgical center scheduling. That also includes accommodating for unexpected situations such as delayed procedures and additional patients' emergency requests. Daniela also handles pre-certification with various insurance companies for patients so when they come to our office, that work is completed for them. She provides technical assistance during physical evaluations and office procedures. She also has a very important job to keep patients’ information safe and protected, and be sure that the office is compliant with HIPAA rules.
Daniela is very kind, understanding, and approachable to patients. We regularly hear from patients that they have pleasant experiences with our office staff. Daniela tries hard to make our office a relaxed and pleasant space for our patients.
She is a graduate of Berkeley College with a BA in Business Administration. She is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish and proves to be invaluable to patients with limited English. Daniela is happily married for 26 years. She and her husband are actively involved in their community. They enjoy traveling and spending time with the family.
